CEU President James R. Randolph praised Baker and members of Local 1769 for their action. The high cost of education has created a problem for many potential students, Randolph said. More and more college students need Gladys Nelson Gladys I. Stevenson Nelson, 55, Price, died June 6, 1982 at Castleview Hospital.

She was born Feb. 13, 1927 in Tazewell, a daughter of Robert John and Iena Mae Iawson Stevenson. She married Lyle Nelson Jan. 15, 1946 in Tazewell. He survives.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. In addition to her husband, survivors include three sons, Robert Lyle, Price, Steven West Valley City, and Randy, Wellington; six grandchildren; mother, Grand Rapids, brother, William; and two sisters, Ixmise Chambers and Ann Iinkous. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Fausett Mortuary. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

Burial will be in Price City Cemetery. Eugene Anderson Eugene Anderson, 77, Price, died June 5, 1982. He was born June 26, 1904 in Price to Niels Peter and Rosella Elizabeth Bryner Anderson. He married Rhea Stringham May 26, 1925 in the Salt LDS Temple. She survives.

He was a carpenter. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Uttcr-day Saints, he had served in the Swiss-German Mission from 1925 to 1928. He was a high priest and had served two stake missions. In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, IiMoyne, Woodscross; two daughters, Helene Steele, Phoenix, and Mrs. Keith (Gwen) Thompson, Chatsworth, 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Price North LDS Stake Center where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Price City Cemetery. Fausett Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. In addition to his wife, survivors include one son, I-aMoyne, Woodscross; two daughters, Helene Steele, Phoenix, and Mrs.

Keith (Gwen) Thompson, Chatsworth, 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Erma Erickson, Ely, and two brothers, James Springville, and Gerald and Arvil, both of Price. Our primary objective in sponsoring the rally is to bring Utahns together for their mutual education and involvement, Ms. Dean said. She said Utahns participating in the rally will be joining with other concerned citizens in cities across the nation on that day in conjunction with the second United Nations special session on disarmament.

She survives. A lifelong resident of Carbon County, he attended schools in Columbia and Sunnyside. He was active in baseball, basketball and track and was a little league coach in East Carbon for 10 years. He was a former employee of U.S. Steel Corp.

with 47 years of service. He was a retired member of United Mine Workers of America, Horse Canyon local No. 8003. He was secretary of the Slovene National Benefit Society and a member of Price Elkslxidge No. 1550.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Frank East Carbon City, and John Price; one daughter, Mrs. Andy (Carolyn) Oman, Price; a niece, Mrs. John (Kathy) Steffes, Minnetonka, four grandchildren, Petrea, Ievi, Misti and Ashly; three brothers, William, Columbia, Rudolph, Price, and Carl, New Zealand; two sisters, Mrs. Robert IaVay Reynolds, East Carbon City, and Mrs. Ralph (Zorrie) Hufford, Salt Ixike City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Edward, and sisters, Rose Bradley and Pauline Kennick. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mitchell Funeral Home. Prayer services were at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
