Here are 33 of my favorite 24-hour challenge ideas that you can do well into 2022!

1. 24 Hour Overnight in an Abandoned House

33 Fun & Popular 24-Hour Challenge Ideas You Need To Try! (1)

This challenge isn’t for the faint-hearted; however, if you and your friends like to live on the wild side, why not try spending a full 24 hours in an old abandoned house to see if you guys really have what it takes?

The place doesn’t have to be haunted but trusts me, that’s coming later on in the list. For closure, houses are your best bet. Just make sure to stay hidden for as long as possible without having anyone come knocking on the front door.

2. The 24-Hour Challenge in Target

This 24-hour challenge idea is one of the more popular and Iconic challenges currently on YouTube.

It’s time to activate your stealth mode because this challenge requires a lot of planning and staying on the DL for as long as possible to ensure none of the employees catch you when they are closing.

Try hiding in the bathrooms or on the shelves – whatever you have to do to stay out of sight.

3. The 24-Hour Challenge Underwater

I’ve only seen one YouTube successfully complete this 24-hour challenge idea so far, and that’s MrBeast.

With over 69 million views, he absolutely killed this challenge. If you have what it takes and the right equipment to attempt this challenge, you should definitely try it out.

Because MrBeast is the only one who has done this challenge, you will hands-down get a lot of traffic to your video for attempting to do this, and a lot more if you successfully last the 24 hours.

4. 24-Hour Eating Only Blue Foods

Blue, purple, pink, red, you name it! Choose your favorite color and try only eating food of the color you chose for an entire day. Think this challenge is easy? Well, guess again.

You’d be surprised to see what foods you can and cannot eat. I’m picturing lots and lots of sweet treats. Which to me doesn’t sound like a bad idea.

But for a lot of people, it would be quite tricky. Do you think you could last?

5. 24 Hours in a Toilet Paper Fort

This 24-hour challenge is very similar to the 24-hour target challenge but slightly elevated.

What you’re going to want to do is build a paper towel fort behind the shelves at one of your local grocery stores and live in them for 24 hours without getting caught.

MoreJStu started this epic challenge back in the day with only a couple of YouTube channels being successful at staying hidden for the entire 24 hours.

6. 24-Hour Bathroom Challenge

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sit and sleep in your bathtub for 24 hours?

Yeah, me neither, but apparently, a lot of people on the internet have tried this! Grab a punch of pillows, your laptop, and some blankets, and voila!

You’ve made yourself your bed for the next 24 hours.

7. 24 Hour Living in a Car

This challenge is very similar to others, but that’s the whole point! Do you think you could last for 24 hours in a cramped car with other people and not be able to leave?

According to other YouTubers, this challenge was one of the hardest to complete because there wasn’t much room to stretch out and make yourself comfortable.

On the plus side, however, you could drive around to any location you wanted and still be able to get food and drinks from your favorite drive-thru restaurant.

8. 24 Hours Living on a Trampoline

This is another significant challenge to try out with you and a couple of friends!

Get some blankets, pillows, snacks, and games, and see if you guys can last on the trampoline for a whole 24 hours.

The nice thing about this challenge is that it is more age-appropriate, and you can do it with your friends and family.

Just make sure to pick a night where the weather doesn’t call for rain and wind because that would seriously suck. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

9. A 24-Hour Challenge in IKEA

This has probably got to be one of my favorite challenges on the list! Seriously who wouldn’t want to spend 24 hours in Ikea!

Choose your pick of which room you want to spend your time in, play hide, and go seek –the options are endless! Just remember not to get caught!

10. 24 Hours in the Pool

Time to grab your favorite floaty and hit the pool for the next 24 hours.

I’ve seen a lot of YouTubers buy inflatable pools to use instead of an air mattress, so they have more room.

The choice is yours, though! Do it with a friend or by yourself; this challenge is sure to get people talking online!

11. 24 Hours in the Ocean

This 24-hour challenge idea is very similar to the pool challenge, but it’s even more challenging because it’s in the ocean!

Just make sure you tie your floaty to something on the land; we wouldn’t want you getting lost at sea –although that would be some good content if I do say so myself.

12. Saying Yes for 24 Hours

Do you think you have what it takes to say yes to someone for the next 24 hours? Choose one or two friends to delegate you to do for the next 24 hours without saying no even once.

This challenge can get pretty crazy, but all the current videos on YouTube doing this one is getting a lot of views, so you should definitely think about this one!

13. 24-Hour Silent Treatment Challenge

If you’re anything like me, not speaking for 24 hours would be nearly impossible to achieve.

Who are we kidding? Even more than a couple of minutes, and I would be going crazy.

Think you’re up for it? The point of the challenge is continuing your everyday activities and not telling people you’re doing the challenge.

Try this on your boyfriend or girlfriend or even your parents and see how they react!

14. 24 Hours No Electronics

33 Fun & Popular 24-Hour Challenge Ideas You Need To Try! (2)

I feel this challenge will be more difficult for some than what they would expect (myself included).

Lock all your electronics away for a full 24 hours and see if you can stay disconnected from social media for as long as possible.

You never know, you might actually like the peace and quiet for a change!

15. 24 Hours Pretending Someone Is Invisible

Okay, this challenge is hilarious unless you’re the person being ignored for 24 hours.

Seriously I think I would actually start to believe it myself. You’ve all seen the videos where people pretend their little sibling or friend is invisible for a couple of minutes, but have you tried doing it for a full 24 hours?

This challenge is sure to get you the view you’re looking for!

16. 24 Hours Only Eating Fast Food

This is another significant challenge if you’re a foodie like me.

Although I love a good slice of pizza or a big burger once in a while, I don’t know if I would be able to eat all fast food for the entire day! What about you?

You could even switch up the challenge a bit and try eating only fast food from one restaurant to make the challenge even more challenging and more enjoyable to watch!

17. 24-Hour Prank War Challenge

It’s time to get savage people. The 24-hour prank war challenge is one of the most intense 24 hours you’ll ever experience, but also one of the best.

Grab a group of your friends and for a full 24 hour period pranking is legal, and nothing is off-limits. How savage do you think you could get with this?

Just make sure not to cry when your friend pranks you really well. Instead, put on your game face and begin plotting your next move. Play in pairs, or free for all the choice is up to you!

18. 24-Hour Kissing Challenge

Calling all couples! This 24-hour challenge idea is for you!

Do you think you could lock lips with your boyfriend or girlfriend for the next 24 hours? This challenge is more complicated than it may look.

Just remember to stay hydrated; you wouldn’t want your lips to get chapped.

19. 24-Hour Long Nail Challenge

33 Fun & Popular 24-Hour Challenge Ideas You Need To Try! (3)

There is nothing more satisfying than a fresh new set of acrylic nails from the salon. And if you’ve ever had long nails before, you’ll understand that they take some time getting used to.

So why not try getting the longest pair of acrylic nails for a full 24 hours and test what things you can or can’t do? Just remember, don’t break a nail!

20. 24-Hour Living in a Tent Challenge

Ah, the great outdoors –I love it, but I’m more of a glamping type (glam camping, if you will.)

The nice thing about this challenge is that you can literally take your tent anywhere! To a campsite or even to the mall parking lot, the choice is yours!

Remember, you can’t leave for a full 24 hours, so make sure you choose a cool location to set up shop.

21. 24 Hours the Floor Is Lava Challenge

I think this has to be one of my favorite games growing up. The level of intensity of this game when playing it with your friends is hilarious.

So, why not try playing the floor is lava for a full 24 hours? Make your own rules and see if you can manage to play it throughout the entire house!

22. 24 Hours Who Can Make the Best Song Challenge

This one is for all my musicians out there. Who can make the catchiest song in 24 hours?

Whether it’s a diss track of a love song, get as creative as you want with it, and then have your audience rate which the winner is!

23. 24 Hour Handcuffed to Someone Else

This challenge is also a good one to get traffic on your YouTube page.

Handcuff yourself to your friend or partner and spend the next 24 hours together. What could go wrong!

24. 24-Hour Sing Every Word You Speak Challenge

We all sing from time to time, but have you ever tried to sing every word you speak?

I’m talking, or should I say singing your order at Starbucks, when having a conversation with your friends or even reading a book in a singing voice.

Let’s see if you got what it takes.

25. 24-Hour Online Shopping Challenge

This challenge doesn’t seem bad at all if you love to shop! The rules are simple, you have to shop for 24 hours and change a store every two.

You also have to buy at least 1 item at every store. Time to shop until you drop (literally)!

26. 24-Hour Switching Lives Challenge

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live someone else’s life for one day? This is the perfect opportunity to do so!

Dress like them, talk like them, and even walk like them for a full 24 hours!

27. 24 Hours of Becoming Parents

Do you have little cousins or younger siblings? Try being their parent for a full 24 hours to successfully pass this challenge! Trust me, it’s harder than it looks!

28. 24 Hours My Dog Controls My Life Challenge

All you need is your dog and two of their favorite toys! Ask your dog two questions and have them pick between the two toys.

Whichever one your dog likes is the action or challenge you need to do. This can get as crazy as you want it to but just make sure to stay safe!

29. 24-Hour Copy Cat Challenge

This is another hilarious challenge that doesn’t require any extra equipment. Try copycatting someone for a full 24 hours without telling them what you are doing and see how they would react!

Try this on a friend or sibling for the best results!

30. 24 Hour Haunted House Challenge

If you like scary stories and believe in ghosts, this challenge is for you. Try spending the night in a haunted house that’s in your area. Just try to make it out alive!

And make sure to be with someone else for the whole time. You never know what could be lurking in the shadows.

31. 24-Hour Video Game Challenge

If you love video games, this is the perfect challenge for you. Yes, we’ve all spent hours playing video games, but have you ever spent a full 24 hours?

Do you think you could last that long?

32. 24 Hours Sitting in Slime

The slime trend will never die! Trust me! Try sitting in a tub full of slime for 24 hours.

I’ve only seen one other YouTuber try this out, and they got millions of views. Think you got what it takes?

Now you just have to figure out how to get that much slime.

33. 24-Hour Fidget Spinner Challenge

Fidget spinners are great for when you’re trying to stay focused. But have you ever tried fidget spinning for a full day?

Try to stretch out your fingers beforehand; I’ve heard it helps!
