This is one of my all-time best SEO tools; it has been of great support and has aided me in almost all my On-page and Off-page SEO jobs.

Apart from the fact that it does a lot in depth more than most of the paid tools out there. Google webmaster tool will help you track all your SERPs on Google.
You can see also the keywords/queries that triggered your posts, with its corresponding features like:

There are more than enough to explore with this free rank checker tool. Including tracking of total average position and current position.
Some major downside of Google Search Console is that:
- You can’t track a competitor ranking with GSC. Just your own site
- Works only for Google Search Engines
- In some cases, you will surely need a paid and external tool in line with GSC for your data to be accurate

Website Rank Checking tools – Which is the Best?
I wouldn’t want you to go through the stress of checking all these tools in order to know which fits your needs, best.
I haven’t used up to 30% of the tools here, but out of the ones I’ve used so far I’ve found Google Console a very helpful one when it comes to my overall On-site SEO strategy.
But using GSC is never enough!
You will surely need an external rank checking tool to complement so you can monitor and analyze competitors’ keywords plus other Off-page optimization.
I currently use RankTrackr at the moment, I find it 90% accurate in terms of search volumes compared to the previous ones I’ve tested.
Either way, it’s all up to you to decide your own best. All the software on this list are awesome in their own ways.
I’d recommend you to test out some of the paid tools (free trial) that offer exclusively only keyword rank tracking and few Off-page analysis.
Don’t waste your bucks on extra utilities you wouldn’t need.
